New Development in Tooth Decay Treatment!

Trips to the dentist could soon be less painful after scientists have discovered a way to repair tooth decay without having to use fillings or the dreaded drilling.

This technique, which was developed at King’s College in London, reverses decay by using electrical currents which boost the tooth’s natural repair process. Which is great news for those who suffer from dental phobia as vital minerals are lost during tooth decay and this could eventually cause painful cavities. The minerals that were lost are replaced which means there is no need for drilling or fillings.

This method prepares the damaged part of the enamel layer of the tooth and then uses a small electric current to draw calcium and phosphate in.
